Creating this table in 2012 - 2 years into the  founding of design brand Max ID NY, challenged what designer Maximilian Eicke understood about design and specifically carbon fiber itself. Designed as a challenge to create an object that took advantage of the materials strengths and properties in addition to showcasing the manufacturer's construction ability and quality. The table is very much inspired by movement due to carbon fiber being a material usually seen in the racecar and aeronautic industry. This philosophy of movement turned into creating a table that is ready to run away or pounce, which is where its name “panther”  originated from. The table disassembles to flatpack away, using a mix of materials such as Kevlar, titanium and carbon fiber.
